1) Your company is called PC Support for You. Does that mean you don't work on Macs?
Our techs are experts in the Microsoft family of operating systems. We are firm believers in playing to our strengths to deliver the best possible value to our customers. With that in mind we do not service Macintosh or Linux PCs at this time.
2) What if I have a problem in the middle of the night? Can I call you?
We
are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Any calls between the hours of
5 a.m. and midnight. are billed at our normal (non-emergency) rates.
3) I live out in the suburbs. Do you service the entire Columbus area?
We service the entire Columbus metro area, and do not charge a "trip charge," unlike some of our competitors.
4) My computer is three years old. Is it better to just replace it?
That depends entirely on the computer and what you use it for. We will gladly evaluate your computer and help you make an informed decision.. You are the expert on your situation; we will explain the costs of an upgrade and the pricing of replacement. With this information you will be able to let us know how you would like to proceed.
5)
Who will answer the phone when I call? Will it be someone
knowledgeable about computers?
Yes, one of our experienced technicians will answer the phone and take care of you.
6) What if you can't fix my problem?
Although we're miracle workers, we can't fix everything. On rare occasions we will recommend replacing computers or servers, but only if there is no other affordable solution. Sometimes replacing a machine is a better value than the cost of repair. If this is the case, our tech will explain the situation and help you explore your alternatives.
7) How will I know how much you will charge?
Every computer is different. This is based on the hardware it is built with and the software you have installed. Once our tech is on site, he can take a look at your system and give you an estimate for the repair.
8) My brother-in-law thinks my computer has been taken over by aliens.
While we cannot totally rule out that possibility, we would be happy to send a tech out to assess the situation. We have found that behaviors others attribute to aliens, the tides, or bad mojo, always turn out to be problems that our trained technicians can track down and repair.
9) Why should I choose PC Support for You versus one of their competitors?
